Composite Decking vs PVC Decking
We are proud to offer both TimberTech Pro and TimberTech AZEK products, which are made from different materials. TimberTech Pro is a composite decking product, while TimberTech AZEK is a PVC product. Learn more about the differences between these materials below.
Composite Decking
Composite decking boards are made from recycled plastic and wood fibers, resulting in a low-maintenance material. In general, composite decking can be easily shaped to create bends and curves and it more closely resembles natural wood compared to PVC.PVC Decking
PVC, or polyvinyl chloride decking is made from recycled plastics, without any wood fibers. Because it doesn’t have any wood in it, it will never develop mold or mildew, making it a very durable material. PVC is also a harder material that is resistant to scratches and stains. However, remember that it looks less like wood than composite decking.
